Is it possible to still survive inoperable lung cancer by any methods at all?

Instead of my grandmother dying, what can be done? Can they take her lung out? Ooo, doesn't sound good. But are there replacements? Just like we have feeding tubes. She probably would hate that though. Just want her to be alive.
