Create noise on electric guitar?

Hi! From what I hear at the beginning of the track, the player is facing the amplifier with his guitar to get the feedback sound, and modulating the tone with a wah pedal. You can get a similar result with twisting the tone control on your guitar, but it won’t be as distinct or abrupt sounding. Not to fly in the face of the previous answers, but I don’t think there is a pitch shifter involved. Hope that helps a bit. Best regards, Dana
