First Time Teaching tips..?

We always said "Don't crack a smile in cl until December" (That's beginning in September, though) when I worked at a university. It helps to show the students that you mean business and you aren't just a pushover. You cannot start off trying to be the fun-loving professor, because they won't respect you unless you start off firmly! It's worked wonders and I have great cles with my students!
